Karen was born, baptized, and raised a Presbyterian. She holds a BA in Religion from Whitworth University, an M.Div. from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and was ordained by North Puget Sound Presbytery. While originally from California, Karen has claimed the Pacific Northwest as home since she moved here for college. She has a deep love for the people and geography of this region of the country.

Before her call to serve RBPC, Karen has served a diversity of churches, both rural and urban, in Texas, Kansas, Oregon, and Washington. She is passionate about sharing God’s love with others and discovering what God is up to in the neighborhood. When she isn’t at the church, you can find Karen attending a Seattle Mariners baseball game, reading a good book, engaging in conversation over a cup of coffee, or spending time with friends and family.

Karen is excited to be a part of Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church, and to partner in ministry with the congregation.
